About this deal

With a gently curved back with the same soft curve as the lounge chair and a sculptural wood base the Elephant chair brings comfort to the table. The design is inspired by Danish upholstered chairs of the 1950’s, while drawing visible characteristics from the already. The Elephant Chair, designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, is a modern interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism combined with Japanese aesthetics. This kids chair is the ideal height for young children to perch on and is part of the Tidlo Safari furniture set with the Monkey, Lion and Leopard; it coordinates with the Tidlo Jungle Animal Table. Please note that we will only be able to collect items if they have been packaged in advance of our arrival – they must be placed in the same packaging with the protective layers provided.

The giraffe and Zebra were on opposite sides from the request with the elephant facing the wrong way.The sophisticated design appeals to style conscious parents but simultaneously serves as the perfect blend of form and function. The Elephant Lounge Chair from Norr11 is a hand crafted design-led lounge chair made form solid oak.

After a limited edition in 2007, Vitra has now added a plywood version of the legendary Eames Elephant to its standard portfolio. The result is a light and elegant lounge chair where the Elephant ear shaped back gently curves around the body providing superior comfort. A prototype was given to Charles's 14-year-old daughter Lucia Eames and later borrowed for the exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946.
