About this deal

Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame. On the other hand, the GT Omega Apex wheel stand remained deadly still, even when compared to other products such as Next Level Racing’s F-GT and Wheel Stand, which suffer from pedal plate flexing. In terms of cable management, the GT Omega Apex has a clear advantage over the Next Level Wheel Stand.

On a couple of occasions, mainly when drifting fairly aggressively, the angle adjustment on the wheel plate came loose, causing the whole wheel to move. This happened to me twice, causing me to have to over-tighten the bolt to “hopefully” eliminate any future occurrences of this.As I mentioned right at the top of this review, the APEX wheel stand comes pre-drilled with mounting points for all main brand racing wheels. Meaning compatibility is extremely good. The MOZA RACING R9 wheel base V2 is not only a fantastic addition to the ever-growing MOZA ecosystem, but it succeeds at setting a new standard for mid-range wheel bases. However, during testing, we discovered the height changes are more dramatic on the Next Level Wheel Stand due to the angle of elevation of the main bar. In terms of out and out stability, the APEX wheel stand performed extremely well. Especially compared to an all in one rig such as the Playseat Evolution, which I had set up right next to this wheel stand. It supports every branded racing wheel. Performs extremely well with almost zero flex or movement, (which many other wheel stands suffer from). And can be stored away in less than 30 seconds.

Overall, the GT Omega Apex is a great starter kit for those looking for a basic steering wheel and limited budget or low floor space. Its quality construction, versatility, and ease of assembly make it a highly recommended product. Reddit On the other hand, the GT Omega is more sturdy and flexible than the Next Level Wheel Stand, which may make it more appealing to users who value stability over adjustability. Overall, Finexo Enterprise UK is your go-to source for all your product review needs. Whether you're looking for the latest gadgets or trying to upgrade your home office, our team of experts is here to help you make informed purchasing decisions.

In our tests, one advantage of the Next Level Wheel Stand is its adjustable feet, which are not available on the GT Omega. The Next Level Wheel Stand, on the other hand, does not have any cable management system in place, which can be a bit of a hassle if you have a lot of cables to deal with. We added separate tape strips to bind the wires. Due to the wheel stand being designed in a way where each of the four legs are well spaced apart, forces are evenly distributed across the chassis. Meaning there is very little flex or wobble. Unboxing and constructing the wheel stand is a really simple affair. The wheel stand as a whole comes almost completely assembled. All you really need to do is install the feet, wheel plate, and shifter mount. In general, users seem to prefer the NLR Wheel Stand 2.0, citing its sturdiness and additional features. However, some users have had success with the GT Omega Apex, and its mounting of the DD unit is praised. Race Department

The GT Omega Apex has a much flatter footplate, while the Next Level Wheel Stand has a more elevated position. The price of both models is similar, with the Next Level Wheel Stand 2.0 being slightly more affordable but requiring additional spending on a shifter mount. When trying to mount my Logitech shifter to the plate, it simply wouldn’t grip. This is due to the shifter having a rim that runs around the whole plate. This meant that the in-built grips on the shifter just couldn’t grip at all. Moving on to the height adjustments, both models offer a similar system for adjusting the height of the wheel paddle, which is achieved through twist bolts. The stand is fully compatible with all brands of racing wheels. On this wheel stand, I installed my Logitech G923 and my Fanatec DD1, and both installations were rather simple. For increased stability, I advise firmly mounting your equipment with screws. Coupled with the comprehensive MOZA Pit House Software, the MOZA R9 gives you absolute control over your racing experience. This comes down to design, which is an area where GT Omega have excelled in. All of GT Omega’s sim rigs and wheel stands have featured very well engineered design. Eliminating a lot of flex and movement which is present across other products.

Bringing all the most loved features from our original model and some new sought-after design changes we have developed a wheel stand which meets the needs of any sim racing enthusiast. A key benefit of using a free standing monitor stand rather than an integrated mount is that they avoid vibrations which come from steering wheel and pedal inputs. These can be particularly noticeable if you are using a direct drive wheel base. Additionally, both products feature well-engineered designs with attention to detail as tested. For instance, the GT Omega Classic comes with adjustable knobs for the height, tilt, and angle of the wheel, as well as the position of the pedals. In comparison, the GT Omega Apex wheel stand includes a shifter mount and a range of Velcro cable tidies. GT Omega Classic Vs Apex: Performance Difference MOZA prides itself on developing cutting-edge sim racing products that will go the distance. With extensive consultation from professional racing engineers, drivers, and sim-racers throughout the R&D process, MOZA products deliver a high-quality sim racing experience. This is a problem with almost all wheel stands I’ve used, and isn’t isolated solely to the GT Omega wheel stand. But the way that the chassis is designed to adjust, means that to get the wheel closer to my chest, I had to raise it up simultaneously.

Taking the sim racing experience to another level with GT Omega

There is also a shifter mount included, which isn’t always the case with some sim rigs. And there is a good attention to detail with elements such as the cable tidies. Instead of using traditional cable ties, GT Omega provide a good range of Velcro cable tidies, allowing you to run all cables down one leg of the wheel stand. Although the GT Omega apex’s chassis may be adjusted, we found it difficult to concurrently change the wheel’s height and distance. To move the wheel closer to my chest, I had to lift it, but doing so made it too high. This meant that I either had to have the wheel at the right height, but too far away. Or at the right distance, but too high. We recommend looking through each to build a picture of what gaming chair will suit you best. And remember, our chairs can also be customised in terms of colour options and accessories to help give you A truly customisable racing sim experience The only gripe I have is the adjustability of seating position. I am unable to raise my seat. Lowering the wheel base also puts it further away, making me slide my seat closer and then my pedals are too close. It's quite frustrating to get a decent comfortable driving position. I may add extra bars under the seat to raise it up a few inches, but this might make things unstable. I've decided to just be happy with it and upgrade in the future.
