The illustrations and the fact that it is a Middle school story mean they are very accessible for young readers who love funny chapter books. After the car accident that killed Jamie's parents and sister and left him in a wheelchair, Jamie spent time in a rehab center. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The book is set in Long Beach, California and it was interesting reading about the hurricane, as we don’t get many of those in Ireland! Overall this book couldn't take the series back on its feet after the second but doesn't stay on the ground. Now he is ready to leave for Hollywood, but the contest is postponed because Hurricane Sam blows through Jamie’s town. While he's trying to come up with new material for the up coming contest, he has to deal with school and friends. Jacqueline Wilson ‘Amazing’ Noel Fielding ‘This incredible debut tugs at your heartstrings and makes you laugh out loud in equal measure. Her debut novel, The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, was selected as a Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month, in addition to being nominated for the Carnegie, shortlisted for the Costa, Blue Peter and Branford Boase Awards, and winning the Teach Primary Book Award. Jamie wants to be a stand up comedian, but most of the time he's sitting down, because he was paralized from the waste down from a car accident. He lives in Long Beach, New York, with his aunt and uncle and their three children (who he refers to as "the Smileys" because they never smile or laugh). It goes with the typical, "ups and downs" story, with how they will have good moments and bad moments. Middle schooler Jamie Grimm has big dreams of being the best stand-up comic in the world - and he won't let the fact tha. This book is good read if you read the series and to be honest you couldn't live without seeing this book if you read the other two.

Also, the ending seemed way to good to be true and, frankly, after what he did to his friends (Who by the way supported him all through the trilogy) I didn't really think he deserved that kind of ending. Para os leitores mais existe é um livro com pouco conteúdo, muito básico e parece apenas que se está a ler um resumo. Jamie's struggles with his disability, and other's perception of it, are not usually addressed with such frankness.

The third novel in the hilarious and brilliantly illustrated I Funny series Jamie Grimm is back and better than ever in the third episode of James Patterson's bestselling I Funny series. Billy Plimpton took to the stage and captivated the crowd at the triumphant ending to The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, and in the sequel, he’s going to go viral. I don't usually find myself laughing at books but this one had me cracking up quite a few times actually.

A. getting prepared to perform when he finds out that in his hometown there has been a huge storm that wiped out everything in its path. I recommended this book to my friends and my school librarian and now our most popular reads are books by James Patterson! In the book, he has to push himself through the competitions, all the way to the coveted title of the funniest kid in the world. The affecting ending, which reveals a more vulnerable Jamie behind the guise of his humor, celebrates Jamie's resilient spirit. Throughout the series, Jamie shows persistence, as for the past few years, he has lost his family and been confined to a wheelchair. Among his creations are some of the world's most popular series including Alex Cross, the Women's Murder Club, Michael Bennett and the Private novels.
