Paper 2 and 3 - Involve reasoning questions that include true or false options, drawing shapes and giving explanations on how they approach the questions. These papers last 40 minutes each. The Department for Education (DfE) processes these results and judges each school's performance. These results are then used to create school league tables. The tests are also often used to help inform secondary school teachers of each child's strengths and weaknesses. There are hundreds of books available for year six. We have selected ONLY the ones we think are most useful and included them below. It involves an in-depth look at previous KS2 maths SATs papers, QLA data our own internal programme data to understand which topics come up most, which are likely to be worth the most marks, and which are found the hardest to grasp by pupils. The results provide you with your best fit year 6 maths revisionprogramme of lessons – from when to teach multiplication and division to what you should include in each of your SATs revision lessons.
