About this deal

Made from soft, snuggly, 100% organic cotton, the Ergobaby swaddler is a great-looking swaddle pouch. More importantly, it includes the essential cosy wrap for your babies arms, while keeping their legs free and their hips ergonomically positioned to support their development. With no complex folding techniques needed, these swaddles are a doddle to use, thanks to the intuitive velcro fastenings. However, some reviewers say that while the fastenings work great for a newborn, older babies will undo them with vigorous wriggling.

Pros: Arms in and out option, travel-friendly, easy to wash, unzips all the way for nappy changes, mesh panels for ventilation

By doing this, we whittled our longlist down and chose a selection of products that we think offer something for everybody. Why you should trust us Yes I think I'm too scared to swaddle as I do feel personally that I just wouldn't trust myself to do it right and would be frightened of him getting too hot.

Made with 100% cotton muslin, our tester rated it for its softness and breathability. But by far and away the biggest selling point for this swaddle is the multiple uses it has. It can be used as a cot blanket on a warmer day, a blanket for the park, a cot cover for nap time, a muslin for burping and, of course, as a swaddle. Slim fitting through the chest to enable full freedom of movement without restriction or excess bulk with a roomy, hip-healthy bottom.Swaddling is proven to improve quality young babies’ sleep. Young babies love to feel all snug and secure, just like when they were in mummy’s tummy; the wrapped fabric mimics the closeness of the womb and suppresses the startle reflex meaning baby (and mum and dad) will get more sleep. Our little girl loves being in her Purflo swaddle bag, keeps her arms in close but is hip friendly! Poppers on the sleeves allow you to transition from swaddling at the appropriate age :)” (Recommended by Mumsnetter noslen) Fluctuations in room temperature often require parents to adjust baby’s warmth levels during the night. However, changing baby’s wearing layers whilst they are sleeping can be disruptive and safer sleep guidelines warn against adding loose blankets on top of a baby sleeping bag as it introduces avoidable risks. Sorry this isn't quite pregnancy related except that I'm pregnant and thinking about this, so others may be too! The Tommee Tippee Gro Bag snuggle. It can be used as a swaddle with the arms poppered or as a regular sleeping bag with them undone. Just beware the sizing as I found they run really small.” (Recommended by Mumsnetter RandomQuest)
