About this deal

The authorities know that Kevin Lanes conviction shall be due to be overturned their just working out the damage limitations and retiring or shuffling the people concerned and more than likely will try and attach some kind of hush money to him legally binding him on what he can and can't say. It’s totally unbelievable that he served that amount of time for a crime he so obviously didn’t commit. With his book titled Fitted Up and Fighting Back, Kevin Lane believes he can finally prove his innocence of the contract shooting of Robert Magill in Hertfordshire in 1994. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. This is the inside story of one man fight to prove his innocence in one of the country's longest murder cases.

Kevin Lane has spoken about how as the Covid-19 crisis hit the world, more awareness about mental health has been made. While in a police cell, Lane alleges Spackman came in and told him: “You think you’re the daddy of this lot, don’t you?Revenge, dark magic, and clever technology collide, catapulting Timion beyond the rim of the known world - beyond the mythic Boiling Seas. In my opinion it's a gross miscarriages of justice, let's not forget the police inspector spapkman involved in this caSe was jailed for four years for stealing off he's own police force. However, Lane claims that he is not guilty of this act and in hopes that he gets his sentence turned around, he wrote a book titled, Fitted Up And Fighting Back. The first is that the Crown and the Police fear it would open the floodgates to expose many other miscarriages of justice, such was the prolific nature of DS Spackman's criminal activities and, second, there may be a fear that Spackman has information on very top level people which may exposed if he is subject to further criminal proceedings. Kevin was an accomplished boxer and gym fighter and went on to own his own security company in the late 80's.

This book is a must read, giving you a first hand account of how the case was handled by Herts police, and goes into great detail on the crime itself and the people that were involved. In the Magill murder a witness describes one of the men brazenly smiling as he drove away from the scene. Also the CCRC were set up in honesty only to prevent the flow of unsafe convictions reaching the European Court of human rights and then UK being told to overthrow unsafe convictions or UK to be hit with penalties and the convictions marked as unlawful, the CCRC was a placebo and a method to end people's fight for justice. His case was initially covered in the Guardian in 2001 and was later the subject of a short film as part of the Guardian’s Justice on Trial series. I also twisted his arm to get him to include images which I think is a nice touch and I hope others enjoy them too. Not withstanding the original leading suspect in the murder trial, Rodger Vincent, engaged in 'off the record' confidential chats, with Detective Spackman. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages.

The book leaves the reader with a sense of anger at the injustice that Kevin Lane has had to suffer but also hope, in that he has managed to retain his sense of humour and faith in human nature. He said that it wouldn't be reasonable to use the car that he was driving his family around a few days before as a getaway vehicle. This information is believed to be derived from police sources to influence the very weak case that was alleged against him. Kevin has spent over 20 years in prison, tirelessly and relentlessly fighting to get his conviction overturned. He has always believed there was a conspiracy to put him on trial and by turning detective and lawyer he has discovered things about bent coppers and their relationships with serious criminals that look like a plot from the Sopranos. The leading investigating Police Officer Detective Inspector Christopher Spackman was arrested and sent to prison in 2003. Reckless, despicable, Timion’s own band of mercenary men turn against him, leaving him for dead in a back alleyway. I don’t know Kevin Lane personally but after reading this book, I feel like I have known him my entire life. Read Kevin Lane's own words of the mental torture he endured for serving over twenty years in Prison for a crime he never committed.

The following year Vincent and Lane were charged with the murder but Vincent was acquitted at the subsequent trial. The moment you start reading Glammenport you are hit with a large wave of seawater right in the face; you can almost hear seagulls cawing and the creak of wood – this tale begins with a distinct nautical feel.Spackman’s involvement in another case, involving cloned credit cards, led to the successful appeal of the two men convicted. He highlights a similarity between the two killings too as he wrote: "In the Magill murder a witness describes one of the men brazenly smiling as he drove away from the scene. Having watched his podcast with James English, where he came across a very intelligent and successful guy, I contacted him through social media to try and purchase his book, and was thrilled when he swiftly responded and then sent me a personalised signed copy, what an absolute gent.
